Midnight Stars Part 2 & Mystery Finale

Today is another easy step that shouldn't take too much time.

From shirting cut 36 squares 2 1/8”, then cut on the diagonal to make 72 triangles

Attach to one side of your half square triangles, press, then attach to the other side. Make sure you are sewing on the blue triangle. (or whatever color you have chosen)
You should end up with 36 of these units.

Thank you to those who have shared about the quiltalong on your blog. I'd be a happy camper if one person followed along, but it is nice to know that many of you are making it.
Feel free to use your own color choices! That is what makes quilting so much fun. I'll use McLinky again at the end so we can see all the versions.

There was a lot of football watching going on at my house this weekend so I was able to finish Bonnie's Roll Roll Cotton boll mystery quilt. The border really ties it all together,. The directions were fantastic! Thank you Bonnie!

Your RRCB is stunning! I think I will try to play catch up this week with Midnight Stars! Thank you for the great instructions.

The cotton boll quilt is awesome! One really good thing about doing a mystery quilt, is it seems to keep you working on it and spurs you on until it's finished. Great job!

Mystery quilt is so gorgeous! Wow, the borders really complete it!! Looks beautiful, Lori!!

Your RRCB is terrific...I am really loving the pinks and neutrals together.

Oh boy...thanks for part 2 of the doll quilt! I know now that I'll be piecing instead of cleaning after work...lol

I really want to make that doll quilt with some tiny antique scraps. Today I'm going to draw up a template (no ability to strip piece with this fabric) so I can quilt along. I might be a little behind, but I'm in!

The mystery quilt is gorgeous, and I like the little mistakes. I've done that lots of times, and mostly I leave them in.

WOW!!! Love both! Congrats on conquering that huge one of Bonnies it is a beauty.

Your quilt top is so worth all the time you have in it. It is definitely stunning. Now I REALLY wish I'd gotten involved with the RRCB, but I have too many WIPs and UFOs (and way too many anagrams in that sentence).

On to the next step with your quiltalong instructions. I like the pace you're setting for us--not too rushed.

Oh, the little quilt is so cute! Glad you are having a fun with it.

RRCB's borders are pretty special. I read through all the directions too and that Bonnie sure has a handle on doing these complicated borders. Yours looks terrific!

I'm packing my RRCB in all it's various pieces into a plastic tub and bringing it to my quilt retreat this weekend...three days of solid sewing may get this thing in order!

Lori you are so productive and I love your new project. I am getting off this computer and start some serious sewing. The RRCB quilt looks great and I have saved the instructions for the border. I think it could have many uses.

You are getting so much done. They both look great.

You did a great job on your mystery quilt! That looks like a whole lot of work and it came out really pretty.

I'm caught up on Midnight Stars now - triangles cut, sewn on, and pressed. That was my project for today. Tomorrow is block 2 of Barbara Brackman's Civil War quilt but I can't wait to finish the little doll quilt. I haven't posted pictures because you can't tell yet from the pieces but they're done.
