Land of the Free

Along with my Leftovers quilt I got a chance to take a photo of this quilt. My Land of the Free by
Piece O Cake Designs. I love this quilt and can't wait to hang it up!!
Here's a closer look at the machine quilting done by my friend in Ohio, Kathy McCarty. I keep trying to get her to start a blog. She does wonderful piecing along with quilting and is always good for inspiration.

If you are interested check out my other blog to see the beautiful hike we went on yesterday.

  14. Your blocks look just fab! The quilting is just amazing. What a fantastic quilt.

I started working on mine and I was really unhappy with my hand applique so I started over and I am fusing and hand blanket stitching. Will post pics of the first two blocks later this week.

  16. What a beauty of a quilt. Why not hang it now? I always think of May as the start of 'patriotic season'. For me it runs from May (Memorial Day) all the way through November (Veterans Day) I know, it's a long season but you just can't go wrong with red, white and blue *s*
