Did You Guess the Pattern?

After seeing the checkerboard blocks did you guess I was doing a triple Irish chain? I have 4 rows to add and a possible border. I'm bummed I didn't get further, but am happy I made it this far.
I'm going to get packed up and head for home. Bonnie and Randy will continue to sew and I'll go back to work. This was a terrific place to re-energize, relax, sew & laugh with my good friends.

Speaking of friends, we talked Randy into starting a blog this week!! You will love the quilts she makes and she has the most adorable grandson and golden retriever named Max.  Her thumbnail is in my sidebar- Barrister's Block. Please drop by and tell her I sent you. I'm trying to get on her good side so she'll invite me back next year!  I've been rather obnoxious this trip!! LOL

  3. LOVE the top, Lori, although I'd never have the patience you have to do something in 2 fabrics (really one!! vbg). And you are a permanent part of the Sisters Sisters Sewing Retreat in Sunriver!! NO matter how obnoxious you are...you were kinda slow on our walk this morning, so would ya work on that? VBG. Just kidding!!

BTW may I know which fabrics / colour name are you using for your reds & whites?

  12. Oh, Lori, this will be so beautiful when it's quilted. Do you think you will hand quilt it? It can wait patiently while you finish DJ. No pressure! lol! Some fabulous machine quilting would look great, too.

  26. I really love the triple Irish chain! Somehow I knew you were going to do an Irish chain with all the red and white, but a triple... I couldn't figure!!!

  27. Very striking! And I think you made great progress. It's so beautiful, and yet really boring sewing. But it's worth it! And the sewing is so much easier when you're having fun with friends while you're doing it. That's the best!

  28. Oh Lori isn't this totally gorgeous. Yes it is!!! What fun you've been having, too. Love that for you. Even though this year wasn't like last year it seems like it's been super special in it's own unique way. And no I didn't guess but the 'cosmic' thing is I was talking about making one of these with a friend this past weekend. Go figure?
