Here is block number 24- one more to go!!
I finished one border. I'm going to start prepping the next one.
I haven't been this excited about a quilt since finishing my Blind Man's Fancy. (which is at Linda's waiting to be quilted)
I'm sure it will be a few more months before the Cherry Tree quilt will be together, but it is nice to think about being so close.

I am excited to see your quilt too! Just wonderful...I know you will just love it when it is all done!
My favorite block! Love the border, too. I'm in the process of prepping a block for applique. Intentional applique, not just to fix my piecing errors! Have you ever used the back basting technique?
Lovely!! The border is simple but exquisite!!! Such fine work!!
Blessings
Love this block, Lori. Can't wait to see the entire quilt finished.
Finishing is a WONDERFUL thing -- and being this close is very exciting! It's been quite a while since I've felt that high...time to get crackin'! Loved your Blind Man's Fancy, and your Cherry Tree is very, very tempting. How many buckets can a person have on their bucket list!?!
Blessings!
Mary Lou
that border is beyond fun! I love it especially the little stems.
It's gorgeous! I've been following the Beyond the Cherry Tree blog to see the blocks coming together. What beauties!
Beautiful, another heirloom from Lori. Your applique is wonderful.
It's a quilt worthy of excitement for sure. You've made such lovely blocks - I can't wait to see it all together too! I'm loving the border.
It's fabulous Lori.....LOVE that border!
Ooh! I get excited when I can see the end too! Great job!
So exciting to know it's all coming together. It is just gorgeous!
No wonder you are excited...this is yummy!
Great progress Lori. I have zero borders started and this block ready for applique. I'n kind of sad to think it's almost over!!
I love your striped leaves. Your work is always so beautiful. Thanks for sharing. Hugs
Another fab block. I love that border. I can't wait to see this quilt all together.
How's your Mom doing?
Looks great! Can't wait to see it done! :o)
I love the orange and yellow fabrics you used in the flowers. They're pretty no matter when but they're perfect for fall! I just finished block 23 and will start this one today, hopefully, but I chose different colors than you. I hope I like mine as much as I like this one!
gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous.....
That is beautiful applique, I want to do more, but need to get through the holidays first.
Debbie
I love it!
that border is awsome!!
Looks great! This may be one quilt I'll regret not doing.aube some day. That border is really beautiful.
Those striped leaves are fab; can't wait to see more of this! The quick, fun and scrappy quilts are great, but sometimes the satisfaction of a more involved project is just what is needed.
Isn't is great when you have that excited feeling about a quilt. The border is wonderful and I love your block, such pretty colours.
You should be excited about the quilt. You have made some great fabric choices and the stitching looks good. I like the stripe you used for the leaves in this block.
Love it! You do beautiful work Lori...and yes, how is your Mom doing? xo to you, Pam
I think you may be the first to finish this quilt. It is looking great. Those striped leaves really work well.
Gorgeous! You go, girl!
I am looking forward to seeing all your blocks laid out together - it will be awesome! I need to finish of my applique quilt!
Gorgeous block, and sensational border piece! Love the delicate-ness of it!!! Well done!!!
Your blocks and border are looking fantastic. Enjoy the process.
OMGosh....LOVE the border!! This quilt is going to be a heirloom for sure!! Good for you!
P
I love your border! I've had the printed-out pattern sitting on my sewing machine and I even love that ~ so folky. How great that you've been able to keep up with the blocks.
Love this block--sunny, fun flowers and a great green stripe for the leaves and stems. What a gorgeous border. I keep more than arms length from applique projects (so I can't mess them up), but I know a great one when I see it. Beautiful job, Lori!
beautiful quilt
your so lucky you kept up with this , ah someday I will make this quilt too.
its just beautiful

Humble quilts, always nice, sweet to look at them.
Good Luck...
You're inspiring me you are! The block is wonderful with stripey leaves and the border looks great.
Oh and I love the fabrics!!! You're really coming along on this one. Your work always makes my heart sing and my inspiration flow. I kinda come here a lot when I'm stuck. Just so you know. You probably do.
WOW....that border!!! Just beautiful!!
Very nice work...you have done such a good job. It is such a wonderful feeling when a project you have spent so much time and care with starts coming together and is nearing completion!
