Here's my September sections. I opted to put in some flowers from a Sue Spargo book instead of the hands applique.
I can't wait to see everyone's sections!! I have a hunch I may be the only one who didn't sew D-E sections together!!
For next month this is what we'll do:
Sew section D and E together.
Applique the two birds and make a row of flying geese to go below section D-E.
Applique large basket and star flowers on section C. Sew to section D-E.
It may sounds like a lot but I think it is very doable!! I'm excited to see it coming together.

I like what you did with the flowers, Lori. Very cute. : )
ReplyDeleteYour flower blocks look great, Lori. I didn t sew the sections together either. I did work ahead a bit, on the October star flowers..I called them the Stars from Hell...they were very hard to do and if anyone else has any good advice, I am willing to try again. [Thoose loooong skinny points! Oh my.]Also the patchy ground strip had a way of being awkward if the stars werent plced just so.

ReplyDeleteSuch a great quilt! Yet another one that I'm watching from afar, with envy...wishing I was playing along!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering what you were going to change your hand blocks to. Good choice. I did the big hand but put a dog in the other block. I also made my flying geese yesterday morning very very early. I had trouble sleeping.
ReplyDeleteCute quilt, I love the fabrics you are using, will be fun to see how it turns out!
ReplyDeleteI just started on a simple machine applique project and am having so much fun with it!
