Slow News Week at Humble Quilts

I had a lovely short trip with my daughter to visit my dad. The closest I can get to making this quilt related at all is to wonder how many quilt batts we could get from this adorable sheep!I must find one similar on Etsy! If anyone sees one for sale please direct me.

And this fella was protecting the fluffy ewe. His teeth made him look ferocious, in a goofy kind of way.
Here's my dad (88yo) fixing breakfast for my daughter. He loved it! And so did she!

I'm sewing the binding down on Harmony. I love this little quilt!!

  3. love that sheep! we had sheep like that when I was a girl, before I ever even dreamed about wool batting and applique. Their little babies are black when they are born. we used to bring them in the house to play! Your daughter is LOVELY, so nice have that picture with her grandpa.

  10. Still going at 88, Looking Good! Glad you could go see him! That is one 'fluffy' fella. I'm sure someone knows how much batting you would get. Any FFA families out there who raise sheep?? Give your High School a call and see if they know.

What a strange looking sheep, quite different to the ones I'm used to seeing here in Australia!! It sure looks as though it's due to a bit of a clip!!!!
