Bear Paw- Classic and Vintage

Several months ago I was asked to participate with the Fat Quarter Shop in the Classic and Vintage quilt block series. This month they are showcasing the Bear Paw block.

They have a wonderful youtube video showing you how to assemble this block. See it HERE.

I opted to make 4 of them and use it on my table. I love the classic colors of cheddar and red and tried to use contemporary colors and patterns to mimic that vintage combination.
Here's a close up.

I kept the quilting simple and did crosshatching.
I found this adorable backing that fit perfectly with the front. (too bad I couldn't get it to stay upright!)

Isn't it great!?

You can get the free pattern from fat Quarter shop right HERE. Try it, you'll like it!
See Jolly Jabber Blog HERE.

If you want to make a table runner like in the video, or other options they show you can purchase the pattern HERE

Thank you Fat Quarter Quilt shop for including me in your Classic and Vintage quilt block project!
