Country Comforts

I was in touch recently with a quilt shop owner I used to make quilt samples for her shop. She asked if I could do a couple of quilts for her and I thought," Why not?"
She in a rush so I'm setting aside my other quilts and focusing on this .

This will give you an idea of the style.  I'll be machine buttonhole stitching with black thread
I've brought everything downstairs so I can work on it as I have a few minutes without going up and down the stairs. Love these homespuns!

Here's what's happened on Instagram this week! I published my first video. It is of my mom singing to some song on the western station. Music goes down to the soul.
I recommend a video called Alive Inside: The Story of Music and Memory. You can stream it on Netflix.

We are supposed to get to 70 degrees this weekend! I'm so stoked. We plan on taking a day to hike and another day for yard work (with a little stitching thrown in.

Have a wonderful weekend.

  7. 70 degrees? We are having about 12 here and that is a warm and sunny and quiet wintery day. I like to keep a couple of projects sitting on the machine(s) ready to work on in those few moments between other things. That's how I get so much hand applique done. It's taking the time to organize, choose fabrics and figure out the pattern details that take me so long.
