Travelogue

I was heading north and my kids asked me to stop by and see them on my way. They wanted to spend more time but I needed to get moving. We had a nice chat over coffee and walk along the river. These are 2 reasons to love Mother's Day!

Before leaving town I made a quick stop at Fabric Depot. If you are ever in the Portland area you should stop in. There prices are not as low as they used to be but they sure have a variety!

You need fabric? They have fabric!

You like Civil War reproductions? They have plenty!
Notions?
Lots of batting!
Thread?
Rulers? (they do not have the ones made by Primitive Gatherings yet- I looked!)

Button, button, who's got the button?

Look what I spotted on my way out? A gorgeous rack of French General! One of my favorite Moda lines.

This is one reason I love this line! What a fun toile!

Have a lovely day!

  2. I'll be visiting Fabric Depot when we come out for a visit pretty soon. Can't wait to see my family and get away from the pollen here in Virginia. Such a cute Mothers Day picture!

  3. Glad you had a great Mother's Day. Your daughter looks so much like you, lucky her! We are so lucky to have our children within frequent "visiting distance". French General is one of my favorite too. Yummy.

  17. It is so good when your kids want to spend time with you - especially on Mother's Day! I was with one of my sons and my DGD. One of these days I have got to go to Fabric Depot! I'm trying to use my stash mostly, but when you need a large piece for backing, you just have to go buy some. I'm running out of large pieces. Of course, I do piece backings a lot too, but sometimes don't want to.
