Fall Festival Month 2- Photo Heavy

We had a big assignment for the second month of Fall Festival. The turkey was optional, so that is fine if it isn't complete. Just keep working on it for next month's show and tell.
I'll probably loose a few points on my stars, but they are done!

Whew!
Here are Debby D's blocks.
I'm adoring the turkey fabric.

 Here is Rina's block 1
Here are Denise's moons from last month and the rest for this month.

Denise's

 Mona's great blocks!
I didn't want to tell her that I don't see the flag. :)

Next month's assignment:

 3 Pineapples 12 1/2 x 8 1/2
                                                               2 square baskets 12 1/2"

 and 1 tall basket 18 1/2x 8 1/2

And if you have time,  make a few flying geese (finish at 4x2") for the sashing so they will not all be left at the end. Next show and tell April 3rd!

Have a wonderful week!

  3. I so enjoy seeing each person's fabric choices for the blocks. Selecting fabrics for a quilt project is my favorite part of quilt making. I will drop by later to follow the links to see more.

I'm wondering if anyone besides me notices that Lori knows that Fall is only a few short months away? Whew, we've got a lot of fun blocks again this month, including some reverse applique.... 9. It's so fun to see all the blocks in one place and note the variety of fabrics used. I like how each one has it's own personality. The tiny checks and plaids will probably always be my favorite! Thanks for taking the time and effort to share all of these, I'm enjoying them.

  14. I love those star blocks! BTW, I have been looking for star buttons for the Flags of the American Revolution quilt and the only star buttons I have been able to find are really cheap plastic flat buttons. I know you recommended flat buttons, but do you have any idea of a place that would have nice looking flat buttons?

    1. I think Jan Patek sells the buttons for Flags on her website. But Lori[?] had problems with them not being drilled for sewing, so look carefully. Also try searching etsy.
