Lincoln Blocks and More!

I've made a little progress on the Lincoln blocks. I need to get a few Ohio stars cut out now to catch up with the 16 patches. This is a fun bold project to work on!
I got some of this in 108" wide for a backing on the Fall Festival quilt.
It has made its way to the quilters! Sometimes on an especially large quilt an extra wide backing is so much easier than piecing.

And then others are pieced, as usual. This is my backing for the Bricks of Wabash Co blue and tan quilt. This one made its way to the quilters as well.

My Instagram feed for the week. It's been a good week!!

Make it a wonderful weekend!

  2. Love your Lincoln Blocks and Ohio stars. That is going to be a fabulous quilt. I have been working hard on finishing a quilt for my brother-in-laws bday so I can start on SLOL.

  8. I like the wide backing fabric you show. I don't remember seeing any like that. I seriously need to do backings for quilts and take one at a time to the quilter.

  12. Your Lincoln blocks are too fun, Lori. I love plaids and I love seeing how you've put them together, both the colors and the various plaids. I really should get on board with this quilt. It's simple but packs a punch!

  15. Re: the Lincoln quilt — you are doing a great job!! Seeing your progress and now the dust is settling more in my home I want to get started on mine. Why did you decide to do 8” finished blocks?

  16. Am I too late to join the Lincoln Quilt project? I've quite a lot of homespun to use.
