Have fun at Sister's. But humble quilts don't need them perfectly straight, do they? :)
Okay, looking at your Instagram, is that a tent in your kitchen?Janet O.https://www.blogger.com/profile/05083607398709252597noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7554378824181841688.post-60187702460822409282018-07-06T07:54:15.834-07:002018-07-06T07:54:15.834-07:00Lori, I find the simple log cabin type blocks are ...Lori, I find the simple log cabin type blocks are sometimes more challenging since even a tiny variation of the seams makes the strips look uneven. I like your block, though. I'd still use it as long as it squares up to the right size. But that's me....
Randy D.https://www.blogger.com/profile/06174816898354217740noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7554378824181841688.post-18799767001749077312018-07-06T07:00:21.391-07:002018-07-06T07:00:21.391-07:00Very pretty block, Lori!! I used to subscribe to the newsletter and when I got overwhelmed with email, I just unsubscribed from most of my quilting newsletters. I follow you on Bloglovin'. I love your Union center to your block and it will make an adorable center to a quilt. I wish I had learned about the blocks when I could have downloaded all of them for free. I had to pay the fee to download all the blocks when I doubt that I will make all of them but yet I hate not to have all of them in case I do indeed want all of them. Oh, what a dilemma. If my daughter were a history teacher instead of a math teacher, I might be more inclined to make the blocks, eh? Again, thanks for the intro to the Dear Daughter quilt. AND your piecing is awesome on your quilt. I was just wondering how I might do that when I saw how small the pieces are. There is not enough room for the typical 1/4" seam allowance, at least it doesn't look like it. I figured that I might take a 1/4" and then I think somewhere I have a 1/8" seam allowance ruler for small paper piecing so that I could cut it down to 1/8" after I sew each seam. Just an idea. Great job on your block~ susan.dietrich@cox.netSuzehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05825257012315494167noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7554378824181841688.post-54524392563437577152018-07-06T05:12:55.517-07:002018-07-06T05:12:55.517-07:00Love your little Union block!
