I picked this up at the Old Country Store in Intercourse this spring and forgot to share it with you! I passed it several times then knew I'd regret it. I love it so much!
My first trip to the Old Country store I purchased a locally made Scherenschnitte that I treasure and I think this will be the same!
It is signed Mary Jane.
I've been taking advantage of warmer temps too!
Mount Hood in the rear
Did a long loop around Timothy Lake with my daughter.
Did a long one night backpack to get physically ready for the season. It was a tough 21 miler over 2 days. I felt pretty rough the first night but better then next day. Then drove right to Walla Walla for the guild.
It's been a good start!
21 mile hike, eek! Love that you can hike by the Mountain. I love our Valley. Glad you came.
ReplyDeleteWhat a precious folk art bird! Beautifully made. The wing and tail construction is interesting, always a hard area to make look good.
ReplyDeleteLovely t o be outside, isn't it! Such blue skies.
I used to live in Lancaster County, and always admired Mary Jane's work. I believe that she was in the same rug hooking guild that I belonged to.
ReplyDeleteI love the Distlefink!
