Jane Kirkpatrick wrote a series of historical fiction novels called the Change and Cherish series - great reading!<br /><br />I would love to go out and visit the historic colony site someday. Thank you for sharing the quilts you saw on display there. Lots of fun to see the red and white combinations. I *tweaked* it a bit to makeit mine; used 11/2" strips for 6" blocks, made 80 of them and used all scraps, mostly civil war type and even the red trails were a variety of red prints. I had a new lens on my camera, a longer one, and couldn't get far enough back to get pictures of whole quilts - next year I'll take the shorter lens again. Which of the quilts was your favorite, the one you want to reproduce?<br /><br />One of the curators at the show told me that next year is their anniversary and most of the 158 quilts in their collection will be displayed.
