Liberated Baskets

Two summers ago at the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show I took a class with Gwen Marston. It has taken me this long to get back to it. The baskets are supposed to be the same height, but I guess I made mine too liberated and had to improvise. It measures about 50x50. I'll be getting this one layered and basted soon too!

Been working on a little part of the Flag quilt and Benjamin Biggs. This is my last block at 9! I don't love this one like I did the Cherry Tree or Sally Post.

Our evenings have cooled down to the upper 30's but our daytime highs are back in the 90's. Still time to enjoy summer! Have a lovely weekend, friends.

  2. Your wonky baskets have a very prim look and you know I like that. Are the handles stitched down by machine or hand applique?

  8. The baskets make me smile--just humble liberated!
So do I gather that there are more blocks in the BB quilt, but you are choosing to stop at 9 because you don't love it? If so, wise woman! : )

Reminds me of your little framed ,embroidered, piece when I first visited you. "I done my best" I think you should share that with everyone. I smile every time I recollect seeing it, and cherish the cat themed one you made for me! You are a great friend!
