Let's go!
You will now take 16 of your 4 patches and make 4 blocks like this.
Then using the photos below make these blocks:
(all 4 of them are different, so do not make 4 blocks the same!)

Then lay them out like this photo:
And sew them together!
Ta-Da! Admire your workmanship and little Palmateer Point Quilt! As is, your little quilt should measure about 21" square.
I hope you love it as much as I do! It is so similar to a Jacob's Ladder block, but I love the variation of the 16 patch and the diagonal lines the pink and muslin make. This would make a graphic large quilt too!

ReplyDeleteThank you for the sew along! I made my 4-patches yesterday. I had a bunch of 1 1/2 inch blocks, so I used those for the 4-patches. I'm hoping to get the HSTs done today. I used mainly blues with some reds and pinks tossed in because I ran out of blues.

ReplyDeleteThis is super cute. I didn't do the sew along, but I happen to have been sewing 16 patch blocks of reds. Hmmmm, might be different done up for the holidays. I'll have to test out the sizes and get back to you. Great job!
ReplyDeleteOK, so this setting was certainly not what I dreamed up on my design wall! Great fun trying to figure out the mystery, but I'm liking this setting a lot. It'll be a stretch to get it stitched together by Friday since we're either traveling or having company, or both, all week long.

ReplyDeleteOh...it's so pretty. I, too, love the diagonal lines of white between the pink..but I'm thinking of rotating mine so I get a diamond shape from the muslin pieces. Either way---it's a winner....so quick and such fun! Please do this again sometime. Thank you...this has been a hoot!
