Here's another one of my vintage quilts. This one has been used and loved.
What a happy collision of fabrics and prints!
Some blocks are much more controlled.
Love the red and white sashing! Trying out a new setting for the blocks, perhaps?
A flannel blanket was used instead of batting.
Love this happy backing!!
I hope your week is wonderful.
What a happy colorful quilt! A treasure chest of vintage fabrics, love it!
ReplyDelete"happy collision" is the perfect description - love this quilt! Have you thought of making something with this block?;).
ReplyDeleteLove those fabulous 30's and 40's fabrics. Such a treasure!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful old quilt! I love the old fabrics and the way they put them together. I'm not in to "matchy matchy" so the scrappier the better in my mind. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome quilt - I love how all those colors just come together!
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely vintage quilt and it does show the love. I'm really intrigued by the block itself with the diamonds in the 4 quadrants. This may be something to try to recreate.
ReplyDeleteVery fun to see the close up view of these funky, vintage fabrics. Too bad about the fabrics wearing away, but like the Velveteen Rabbit, it just makes the quilt more real.
ReplyDeleteThis pattern is great!!! I copied an old quilt similar but without the dashing. Photo in a day or so! Love yours.

A collision for sure. But I think it was one that made all of us smile. Love it :-)
ReplyDeleteOh my, they have used every scrap of fabric they had!
ReplyDeleteLove that happy collision!
ReplyDeleteSoft, loved, quirky beautiful.
