Michelle and I went on a last day of summer hike!! It was memorable, for sure!!
We camped out to be closer to the trailhead. Here we are fresh and ready to go!
Hiked our way through old growth forests.
Lake Ann with lots of pretty fall colors!!
Marion Lake with a peak of Mt Jefferson partially covered in clouds.
Oops, we are on the wrong trail! We are going to one of the shorter mountains in the distance!!
The top of Marion Mountain! We made it!!
And I have my rain coat on but it was fairly dry at this point. The weather called for "intermittent" showers. On a clear day we would have had an amazing view!! It was still very pretty in a different way.
Our lunch stop found us hunkering down for cover, making hot coffee to drink with lunch!!
