Binding and label is on and sewn!
It is such a busy quilt, Diane and I decided an allover pattern would work great.

Porter likes to come upstairs when I'm sewing but coming back down is a little harder with his age, He was barking at me to come up and help!!
More training hikes! This was a steep one- Gray Butte summit at 5108' elevation.
We had a bit of snow overnight with wind and cold temps! It has been surprisingly mild until the last few days.

ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous finish for 2020! I adore that cheddar!! I love finding the Geodetic survey markers. I always get a kick out of the $250.00 fine or imprisonment for tampering with the marker. That was a lot of money in 1938!

The cheddar really makes this quilt shine. Good job! Stairs - hard for aging people and pets. My cat no longer comes down the stairs to my basement sewing room to keep me company. He can come down, but has too much trouble going up again.

What is the metal disk? I do see it is a geological survey marker, maybe for elevation or position?
I love every bit of the busyness of this quilt! The cheddar was a great choice for the setting triangles. The overall quilting was all it needed, and your backing choice makes me smile!

Wish I was in good enough shape to take in a training hike like that!

ReplyDeleteOoh, the binding is perfect on that cheddar quilt. I think it looks even better now that it's been washed. Thanks for letting me quilt it, I sure do love it. I hope you helped Porter, he looks like a sweet old boy. Dogs just make everything better, don't they?
