I got the top of Liberty Eagle completed! This is a Jan Patek patten that I've tweaked a little. I hope top get it basted and quilted soon!
I had one of these little quilts and at a guild trunk show, Patriotic Quilts, brought it for table decor. A women, (not a quilter) who brought her mother to the guild meeting asked if she could buy it! So I had to make another! The center flags I removed from a stick so there is no seam allowance. Years ago I used to have some fabric that had little flags on it. Does anyone have any of that with flags about 4"x6"? I'd love to purchase or trade. Email me at humblequilts@gmail.com

ReplyDeleteI love the Eagles and Roses, still hope to make it someday. Did you mention anywhere how you did the random Flags? I have a small amount of the flag fabric. I believe it's from Weilwood. I ll look at the selvage to see if there is info to look for it. If I have enough to share I ll also let you know, but i think only two or three are left.
