AAQI!! Hooray!!


Ami Simms started Alzheimer's Art Quilt initiative when her mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. It was a complete grass roots organization run by volunteers and 2013 will be the final year. With Ami's vision and many, many volunteers, quilt maker & quilt buyers AAQI has reached their financial goal of raising $1,000,000 before the end of 2013.

    Amazing what one person can get started. I made several quilts that added over 100.00 for the cause......every little bit helps!

    This is a wonderful achievement, and truly heart warming, considering the reason for its start. I was happy to participate, not by sewing, but by buying some very special little quilts that I'm proud to own.

    What a thrilling achievement!! I am grateful that you brought this cause to my attention. I was impressed by your $1,000 pledge. It was great to participate. I love the quilts I purchased and had fun making quilts to donate.
