Wool Applique

I've got all the pieces cut for this wonderful wool applique piece. I'll take several of the pieces traveling with me. (btw, I don't leave until next weekend) It is called "It's a Crock" by Primitive Pieces by Lynda. My background is matka silk and am thrilled with it.
Here is another super portable hand work piece designed by Maggie Bonanomi.

I'm on a wool applique group on Facebook and this year we are doing an OOM- Ornament of the Month. This is January's.

Have a terrific Monday!

Cute snowman ornie. I just saw this ornament on another blog recently but can't recall now which one. I look forward to seeing future creations. Handmade ornaments are the best!

  10. The silk background is very nice looking. I purchased two pieces of some kind of silk in a quilt shop last summer but have not used it. It is what I would call taupe. Both your wool pieces are designs I like very much.

  12. Your trip will be all the more enjoyable with all the prep work done for such interesting blocks. Is the silk background a stable and firm fabric, or is it softer? Such an interesting combo, the wool and silk.
    Cute ornament!

  22. Hi Lori, Wanted to let you know that I did receive the book from C&T publications Cultural Fusion Quilts by Sujata Shah that I won through your giveaway and it is wonderful, thank you so much.
Also, I would love to join the Ornament of the Month facebook group and wonder how I go about that. Could you help me out so I may start stitching these while I transport the grandchildren to their activities? Thanks for everything, YTB!!!!
