Primitive Quilt Magazine Winner

Here were some more blocks I made while retreating last week.
Fun little birds in the air blocks.
Put with the blocks I had made before the retreat. I've got a nice little stack.
Close up of the beautiful fabric.
I like the fabric and the pattern but it's so out of my normal that I'm not loving it together.

I loved hearing of all your blessings. Thanks for signing up to win the magazine. I would encourage you to let the magazine know you like my design.

Janie is the winner of the drawing!

Send me your mailing address and I'll drop it in the mail. Congratulations!

Happy Wednesday!

  4. Oh, I love the blocks!
These beauties give the impression to be real antiques!
And I mean it as a compliment!! :)
Looking forward to see the finished quilt!

  6. I promise I will contact them as soon as I pick up the magazine at Cyndi's Busy Thimble. I wouldn't want to tell them I love it before I've read the article! Although, with all the snow delays we've had lately (over 4' now and more coming tomorrow), it may be another week before I get there and I'm tempted to tell them how much I love it right now!!

  9. Congrats to Janie. I like the blocks but then I like reproduction like fabrics in those dirty colors. Thanks for sharing.

  10. I love these blocks.
I don't recall, are you making a particular quilt pattern with sashing or setting squares, or are you setting these blocks next to each other?

  12. I'm loving it all together. Maybe you just need borders or sashing to tone down the busyness? Such pretty prints all together like that is lovely I think :0)

  16. I think your Birds in Air blocks are beautiful but if you don t love them, they re not ''you'', maybe you could switch up and do the remaining blocks in your scrappier style, and mix them in? This is a big quilt with an applique border? So you have a lot more blocks to make?

  17. These blocks are beautiful. Sometimes making that many of the same pattern can feel slow but I hope you will enjoy it more as you see more and more.I know I can't wait to see more!

  18. Lori, you probably have another top all DONE!! I like that pattern; you're just not used to the fabric being so matchy-matchy...
