On Saturday one of our first stops was Two Thimbles Quilt Shop in Bellingham.
I've really enjoyed getting to know Lee the past couple of years and I love her shop!
That stripe really caught my eye. I brought some home!
The blue urn caught my eye as well!! And check out that stripe!!
Lee was teaching me the ropes.
This is her AMAZING quilt top!
She rearranged the shop and brought the classroom out front. It has a lot of light and is a nice creative space.
Laurie contemplating fabric.
So happy to find a shop that still carries reproductions. Lots of them!!
This was lunch after the Textile Museum. Good food, Great company! Left to Right- Merry, Vicki, Laura, Laurie and me in LaConner.
I had such a wonderful weekend! I'll be sharing more later this week.
Let's have a really great week!
Oh my.... such a beautiful quilt shop !!
ReplyDeleteAnd I recognized Laura ! Enjoy your trip Lori !! :)
Love that amazing circle quilt! How I miss the wonderful quilt shops all along the Oregon/Washington coast. So much inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI’m happy you were able to get up here. It was such a beautiful weekend! That circle/wedge quilt is one of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the arm chair shop hop. What a treat, filled with so much eye candy.
ReplyDeleteWonderful shop, thanks for the tour.
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun! What a pretty shop, and road trips are always more fun with friends.
ReplyDeleteI like how the bolts of fabric are displayed to showcase how the stripes, etc. would look together. Good marketing technique.
ReplyDeleteI JUST saw her amazing quilt at the Quilter's Anonymous quilt show in Monroe! SO beautiful! Glad you're enjoying your trip!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great shop, I am so envious. Also---love your haircut!

I have heard of that shop, but never been there. I have a niece in Bellingham--maybe I need to visit. :)
ReplyDeleteDrooling over the stripe and the urns here!!!
Thanks for sharing your adventure! Great shop, next time let's see a close up of the red and white beauty! :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a place I'd love to visit! Great that you made the trip!
ReplyDeleteLove all that fabric!
I love those fabric displays, which really get your imagination giong as to possibilities. I hope to go there myself when I visit the Northwest this fall. And the Quilt Museum, of course!
ReplyDeleteCan you tell me the range the blue urn/flower fabric belongs to. Its very nice.
ReplyDeleteGlad you were able to get to Two Thimbles. One of my favorite shops too! Each of the gals is always so friendly and helpful. Next time you are up this way, you must visit Lynden too. It's only 15 more minutes from Bellingham. We have three more quilt shops in Lynden.
ReplyDeletewhat a great shop! love that circle quilt. There is one in the NJ book.
ReplyDeleteI would love that shop, but unfortunately, I'm on the opposite end of the country. We do have the Busy Thimble quilt shop. The shop also specializes in reproduction fabrics. I love it!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lovely shop - clever way to display featured bolts on the end of the shelving - especially when there are stripes and border potential!! Or fussy cutting...or...well...you just have to have some! We have lost our one shop devoted to reproduction fabrics...so sad.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful "sweet shop" !

ReplyDeleteLooks like a wonderful shop!! Why are they so tempting?
ReplyDeleteWow, they have the reproduction fabrics? I'll have to find them on one of my next visits to family in the Everett area!
