First Finish of 2020- Blackbird Gathering

Ta-Da! I'm pleased to report the completion of the first quilt of 2020!

My friend, Linda, was not happy with her UFO's so offered several of these block to me. Uh, yeah, I just looked and it was 3 years ago!! Check out which ones were hers HERE

I brought it outside to try and get a better look at the quilt and quilting.

Thank you Diane, Butterfly Threads Quilting for quilting this for me! She kept it simple in keeping with the primitive quilt top.

Hanging out in the jacuzzi and look who wants to play??!!

I said I'd be having the fundraiser book sale on February 1st, but that is Saturday. I'll be doing it on Thursday and Friday of this week,. So keep your eyes open! I have a large stack!!

  3. My friend gave me a little quilt top she had made that she was mad at (some points didn't match). I put a border on and just have the quilting to do. I love it.

  4. That is a very hopeful face. Did you throw the ball for him? That is a very cute little quilt. I really like the mix of applique and log cabin.

  5. Congrats on your finish - it is beautiful! I enjoyed the combination of log cabin piecing and wool applique during this quilt along so very much! And oh my, love your pup's expression and wondering if the tennis ball got "dropped" in the bubbling water for some fun!

  8. I don't know why your friend was not happy with her blocks. I think they are all good. But lucky you to get them, make some more and finish up having a good prim style quilt.

Elsa is so cute! Is she saying ''Get out and Play'', or--- ''Can I come in?''
