This is a big catch up post with not a lot of quilting.
Beautiful French Polynesia!
Here's our kitchen with that amazing view! That roll-up window was great!
The days were pretty short but the sunsets were amazing.
Taken at the Polynesian dinner and show we went to.
The flower crowns were so pretty! I noticed them mostly being worn on Sunday.
I recognized this woman/server from a year ago when we ate at this restaurant.
The islands are lovely and still generally not visited that much by tourists.
I have to sneak in a little photo of my daughter's boyfriend at Cannes Film Festival. He works hard and we are very proud of him. The movie premiered at Cannes and will be released this fall I believe. The previous movie, Rebel Ridge, is still getting good reviews and a possible Emmy nomination.
My son came early for a bachelor party so we could hike. It was his first time to the "Eagles Nest!"
Girlfriend weekend camping and hiking! So much fun!
A quick trip to Washington for my Grand Nephew's high school grad party.
The speaker at quilt guild was sharing about her Stickle Quilt. This one isn't hers but I thought the fan quilting was an interesting choice. It looks good.
I'll be in Sunriver sharing at the quilt guild on Tuesday. If you are nearby, please come! You'll find info HERE
I'll finish my Monday Funday on Wednesday!
Have a great day!
Good to see a post from you! You sure keep busy. The Polynesian costumes w the crowns and tropical prints are lovely. Is this a favorite destination for you? I notice you have gone a number of times. My mom used to talk about an very old TV show Adventures in Paradise---set in Tahiti etc, PI on a schooner---how she longed to travel there.
ReplyDeleteI hope your daughter is doing well?
Hello Lori, your photos are absolutely gorgeous, and so lovely to see the lovely smiling faces as well. I don't give out my email address when I make a comment, as I prefer a return visit and comment on my blog, this way people can see what I do and who I am. Wishing you all the best. Warm greetings from a retired 68 year old lady living in Montreal, Canada.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun post! French Polynesia looks amazing. My friend recently visited there on a cruise and said how pretty it was too. Love the fan quilting on the Dear Jane quilt also. Can't wait to see what else you have going on!
ReplyDeleteThank you for taking us along with you in your adventures. I probably enjoyed them almost as much as you did. You always have a good choice of photos.
ReplyDeleteLove the one of you all sitting round the fire ...and of course that amazing quilt ! 💛☺️🕊️
