Palmateer Point Linky Party

Here is the inspiration quilt! Vintageblessings on ebay comes across some lovely and unique quilts that are for sale. By looking at the back you can see the double line quilting.

I thought it was unique enough to want to make a little one. I like to add a tiny twist to the quiltalongs.
 Aren't these prints adorable?!
You can see the quilting in the original pretty good in this photo.
I opted to do a diagonal line in the same direction of the pink print.

Thank you all for sewing along! I've seen some fantastic versions and I love every single one!
If you have a blog, please link up to the blog post you have shared your quilt. I also believe you can link up from an Instagram photo. If you have no clue how to do any of it, send me a photo of the quilt and I'll add it!

Palmateer Point Quiltalong

Here we are this summer on Palmateer Point on Mt Hood. It is the title of our new quiltalong!

If you have a bag of 2" squares, this is a great time to put them to use! You could do strips but it won't be scrappy like the original.  Here's my color palette. I kept it soft and muted (no reds, blacks or heavy colors) I wanted my quilt to start out looking aged. Do you notice I tossed in a couple yellows/gold? Just a few.

Next you'll need to find 2 contrasting colors. I'm sticking with the original pink and muslin. The most you will need will be 1/4 yard or a FQer of each. The quilt I'm doing as a quiltalong will finish about 21" square, so if you want it larger you'll need more fabric.
That's it for now. I'll be back Friday or next Monday to get started!
