Gee's Bend Quilts
Every year the employees of the Stitchin' Post have a challenge. This year they were challenged to use their own interpretation of the Gee's Bend "style".

Thanks for posting the pictures. I'm not sure I could make one in this style. It's not me and I wouldn't know where to begin! I can certainly appreciate the workmanship, though. Different cultures certainly carry over into whatever type art we do and surround ourselves with, don't they?

ReplyDeleteI still enjoy seeing the quilts and I did see some Gees bend quilts here in Australia. They were mostly the newer ones from the co-op that were for sale.
