Quilts For Kids
Wow! I finally got one more thing out of my sewing room. I haven't had a lot of time this week, but I did manage to finish this little quilt. Are you all familiar with Quilts For Kids?
Here's their mission statement:
Quilts for Kids, Inc. transforms discontinued, unwanted and other fabrics into quilts that comfort children fighting a life battle with a serious illness such as cancer, AIDS, as well as children of abuse. Our goal is to link design centers and other fabric sources nationwide to their communities, so that children in need in those regions may be served.
You can request a kit and everything will come all cut and ready to sew. You add the batting and mail it back. It's a terrific program. I've done one or two quilts for them in the past and happen to see something about it again recently and thought I'd do another one. I loved the sweet dog fabric I got to work with.

Lovely work. That cheery quilt will make a little person warm and happy.
Sounds like a good cause. Dogs just can't help but be cute! Love the colors and you can't go wrong with a meander - looks great!
What a great looking quilt! I'll bring a smile to some child's face. That is very fun dog fabric.
Thanks, Lori -- I love your little dog quilt. I was not aware of Quilts for Kids, but now I have signed up for a kit and I'm excited to get started. What a great program.
What an adorable quilt!
Thanks for sharing the link to QFK... I've bookmarked it so I can help out with this wonderful project!
Lovely work on the quilt and for a good cause too. The dog prints are so darn cute!
Nice job Lori!!! It's a delightful quilt, I'm sure whoever gets it will love it!!!
Great cause! oh my that dog fabric is adorable.

Great job, Lori. Quilts for Kids is a wonderful program, isn't it? I really like the dog fabric, too. I like most things dog.
It's soooooooooo cute! LOVE the fabric!
Great cause! I am sure it will warm a child's heart.
Wonderful, Lori! I do so love it when talented quilters give back to others as much as you do. Quilts for Kids, Project Linus, and AZ Quilts for Kids do so much good collecting quilts for children. Even our hospital here in Salem needs about 300 baby quilts a month to meet their needs! So, readers, give locally or ship them out to wonderful groups..it's all good!
It's a wonderful program!! Our guild is very involved with the program.
This is such a cute quilt, Lori. Whoever picked the fabric did a nice job - as you did making it up. I have a soft spot in my heart for charities like this.
Lori what a giver you are! Well done - I know someone will feel a little bit more loved because of it!
What a cool idea! Love the quilt you sewed together. It will cheer a sweetie!
Very cute fabric! I requested a kit last year and made one. Mine had robots :) It is time to request another kit, methinks!
How ADORABLE!!! I have wienie dogs---so you know I am in LOVE with that little quilt!! :D

That is a lovely program! I love the idea! The little dogs are great!
Your quilt for Quilts for Kids looks so cute. I'm sure the recipient will be very happy with it.
Oh, that is a great idea! There was another group doing this, I think it was a Company, I think it was a laundry detergent or fabric softener , they'd send the stuff and you do it and send it back...
Can never have enough quilts for children. So nice of you to take the time to make this very pretty one. Love your quilting.
Awesome cause and a cute quilt!!!!
Awesome quilt!
