Here's my Just Takes 2 blocks for May 1.
 And here is my not-so-creative challenge block!! It's a little lonesome looking but it will look great with the other challenge blocks.

Almost 1/2 through hand quilting the third block of Beyond the Cherry Tree. Once I'm done with the motifs and outling the applique I will do some sort of overall quilt pattern.

For those of you joining in how are you coming on your A Little Porch Time house block? I've got the windows and the star left and that is all. I'm excited to see everyone's blocks at the end of the month!!

  2. Your JT2 is going to be really nice, but I have to say I'm glad I didn't jump on that one - it is way beyond my scope! Love your hand quilting - another wonderful quilt!

  4. a beautiful selection Lori, Love your JT2 blocks. I have done the applique but lagging behind on the other two. Do you using a frame or hoop the "beyond the Cherry tree"?

  10. They all look fantastic - love your fabric choices for the red and white, cute basket (don't belittle your work!) and Cherry Tree is an heirloom in progress. Never thought about outlining, and then filling in - good idea :)

  15. Those JT2 blocks are time consuming which puts anything else we plan to work on onto the back burner. Your blocks are looking just great as are your other projects.

    your challenge block shows such fun use of fabrics.
    and you've made good progress on the quilting too . . . hhhmmmmm, maybe you really don't sleep OR maybe you can sew in your sleep which is a pretty fabulous multi tasking skill to have~!!~lol

  17. You are keeping up on the red and white project. I have read on a couple blogs and Yahoo groups that some think the blocks all look too busy together. How do you feel about it?

  19. Your Just Takes 2 blocks are wonderful. That center block is real eye candy. Can't wait to see the Porch blocks. Oh Lordy...I can see it now...I'm gonna want to join in! Just started another BOM at SMQ yesterday. It's the Quilted Village and it's just wonderful. Check it out next time you're there.
