Oh my gosh! I had the best time at the First Friday event at Quiltworks.
Here is Marilyn, the owner. She and her husband really put on a wonderful show and are so friendly. The whole staff was terrific and very welcoming.
Remember this stack of quilts? Well, they turned that stack into this......
Even I have to agree my quilts looked great! LOL
The other group I was displaying with was the Woolies. You know wool is one of my loves too so it was wonderful!!
Guess who I met? Anna of The Woolie Mammoth blog!!
Loved these!! Anne, of Cottons N Woolens made these. I got to finally meet her too!!I forgot my camera so I only took a few photos with my phone and then I swiped a few photos from Anna and Anne. Isn't that sheep with monthly blanket adorable?!
There was a nice size crowd.
Marilyn had door prizes and fabric on sale! That's always a bonus!!
And delicious food and imbibe.
I want to thank my friends, old and new, for coming to Quiltworks and showing your support for my quilting!! And for Phyllis for recommending me to Marilyn for this event.
Now, I'd love for you to see better photos.
Anne has two posts- one to see the quilts and one to see the wool works.
Anna has made a beautiful slide show- don't miss it!!
Congratulations! What a wonderful show. Your quilts look so wonderful hanging in their own little show! I wonderful if they could have voted for their favorite which one would have won?? Congratulations again!!

ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, Lori, your quilts are absolutely exquisite. All those half-square triangles. Fabulous. And what a thrill for you to see all your quilts hanging at Quiltworks.
ReplyDeleteI had already viewed the slide show and the photos on Anne's blog. Wonderful display of both your quilts and the Woolies. Was this a free to attend event? I was wondering since there was food served.
ReplyDeleteWhat I meant about the food being served is that it would be an expense to the people who organized the show.
Deleteyour quilts do look awesome and so do you~!!~
