The missing block is now not missing, although it is very subtle.
Same line from Windham, but a little different print and a little lighter. The fabric came from Jill's good friend Susan, which was very fitting as she was so supportive during her illness.
Ah, dear friend, you are missed so much!
If you'd like to see quilts that Jill designed for Windham Fabric or just see some of her personal quilts, I have a Pinterest board called, A Tribute to Jill Reid.
I don't plan on adding a border, (as of right now)
Have a wonderful weekend!
Sweet quilt, have a wonderful sunny weekend, hopefully your ankle is all better so you can get out and run!

DeleteI LOVE your tribute quilt to your dear friend Jill! I don't think any of us would want anything more than to have our dear friend use our leftovers and make a lovely quilt like yours. I pray it brought you peace and comfort!
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentines Day!

ReplyDeleteI checked out the Pinterest board. What a legacy!
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful. I don't think I would have noticed the difference if I had not already known about the missing block.
ReplyDeleteI have a pattern of Jill's (made into a kit) that I bought on a shop hop years ago. One of these days I need to get it out and make the quilt.
It is so nice that you have a Pinterest board with quilt pictures of Jill's. Interesting to see so many all in one place.

ReplyDeleteNice finish--I'm sure Jill would approve. : )
ReplyDeleteI've seen your Pinterest board of Jill's designs--loved it!
What a beautiful tribute you have made for a special friend. Susan's last block made me think that she chose the fabric to fit the personality of Jill. After seeing your Pinterest Board for her, I saw who Jill was. She was a beautiful, talented lady who shared her talent and life with many people. We all have lost someone special.
ReplyDeleteTake care .
Love it! A beautiful tribute!
ReplyDeleteYou have honored her well, please put some of this info on the label so the story is not lost.
