Welcome Autumn!

Summer ended fast! Although we will get to the high 70's today it was in the 30's last night! I'm always sad to say good bye to summer, but always fun to see the fall quilts too. Here's a sampling of what's going on at my house.

Designed by Primitive Pieces by Lynda
Round Robin
Last years large Humble Quilts quiltalong designed by Jan Patek called Fall Festival

Sampler signature quilt for my 50th birthday.

Does it feel like fall in your neck of the woods?

  1. I didn't remember you making the quilt from Lynda's pattern. I know her and she is very creative and a lot of fun.
You did really well on piecing the feathered star shown in the second picture. Not easy to do.

  2. Love everything, but especially your quilt from Lynda's pattern. I'm looking forward to the cool nights when the aroma of fireplace firewood fills the air!

  4. I love Fall, and your quilts give that warm, cozy feeling I associate with the season. Just BARELY took down my patriotic/summer stuff on Saturday. Haven't put out Fall yet. Until a week ago it just seemed too hot for Summer to be over.
But I just finished a morning walk a few minutes ago--had to delay it because it was so cold outside. We will get into the 70s today, too, but we are in the 30s at night, as well.

  16. It felt like Tennessee fall today, wet, wet, wet, 73 for a high. And tomorrow only 70. Definitely a time for pulling out beautiful fall quilts! 80s will be back Saturday, but this signals the end of the high heat, and it is very okay with me. I really like the first quilt and then the Patek quilt from last year's QAL - very fall feeling!
