What a wonderful day in Sisters! Although the first time in 35 years the quilts had to come down because of pouring rain. Thankfully it was later in the day so most people (including me) got to see most of the quilts.
Here is my Jane Stickle quilt!
Rain! There goes their track record. Good that it was later in the day. Your Jane looks so good hanging there. I bet there were lots of ooohs and ahhhhs when viewed by the crowds. I am looking forward to seeing pictures of some of the interesting quilts.
It rained?! I thought that wasn't allowed to happen.
I dragged my mom across the road to get a look at your Dear Jane-- then was so dazzled I forgot to take a picture of it! It's absolutely gorgeous in person.
What a great photo! Rain? It never rains on the second Sat in July in Sisters, what was that all about? Must have been the thunder storms that rolled by us on Friday evening. Can't wait to see lots of pics from everyone.
I missed seeing this one close up. My Sister and I enjoyed the show. We left with the big raindrops falling on us as we walked to the car. Glad you got to see Bonnie too. I didn't :(
what a major accomplishment.... beautiful quilt congrats and having it hang at Sisters for many to enjoy an honor...... hmmm wonder where my 79 blocks are ? wonder if I will ever finish this quilt! Kathie
That's a great picture of you and your quilt Lori! And I love the Hat! Your quilt looks even more glorious in that setting than I remember it at xmas. Looks like it was a really good show this year! cheers, CW
Wow, I didn't realize your Dear Jane would be in the show. Very exciting! What an accomplishment, Lori. Must have been quite a scramble to get the quilts under cover when the rains came.
I saw it too! And it was more than amazing! I listened to people for awhile..that was fun! How did one person do all this in one lifetime? I heard that from a man and his wife said, "I wish I knew"! It was pretty adorable! The rain was crazy wasn't it? They had those quilts down in 30 seconds I swear!
Fantastic Dear Jane Lori! It was so nice to meet you at the show. I did so much schmoozing that we missed a lot of the quilts. We did get to all the special exhibits we wanted to see before it really poured. We were in the Teachers tent when the worst of it went over. Nice blog!
