These wonderful hand appliqued blocks have been tucked away for some time. I started them in a class with Tonye Belinda Phillips. We are lucky to have her talent in Central Oregon. I had patterns for the houses but not a setting, which I am working on.
I was offered a wonderful opportunity recently and it spurred me to action on this UFO.
I chose this sweet fabric called Birds of a Feather. Can you believe the shipping from Ireland was only $8.85 up to 1 kg? I think it is extremely reasonable. You may want to check out their facebook page too. Thank you Joan. She has been wonderfully patient since my mom's hospitalization and transition to home.
Enjoy the rest of the blocks.
Thank you to those who have donated to my "causes". It means so much to me.
Have a terrific day!
Wow, wonderful whimsical blocks!
ReplyDeletevery whimsical blocks but it will be cute, enjoy making them.
ReplyDeleteThose are fabulous. They are such "happy" houses.
ReplyDeleteDelightful whimsical houses. Reminds me a bit of Mary Lou Weideman's style.
ReplyDeleteVery fun houses, and they go great with the new fabric!
ReplyDeleteI can see why you chose that particular fabric! Your houses are very fun. Love those funky trees too.:)
ReplyDeleteThose are fun house quilts, love the fabrics.
ReplyDeleteI need to get motivated and work on something fun, maybe something for the new room.

saludos
All those houses just made me smile.
ReplyDeleteFunny funky houses! I love the trees. I enjoyed following the links to read your posts when you started the Houses blocks. The setting of the large house with the blocks as ''windows'' is very interesting and fun. I also enjoyed the fabric--in Ireland, how cool is that. [the Houses would be so cute in reds and white, sort of Scandinavian modern Xmas?]
ReplyDeleteI'm in a good mood when I look at your houses !!!
ReplyDeleteVery fun ! :)
The houses are cute and the "trees" are very unique! Love the strip pieced hill.
ReplyDeleteI want to live in that neighborhood! Fabrics and colors are delightful. I easpecially like the trees, what fun!
ReplyDeleteThat is interesting. My In Laws live not far from Cork, so I shall check out that shop next time we visit. Their postage rates are very reasonable. I was quoted $8.60 to mail one fat quarter from USA :-(
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are very cute, I like the strippy hill. I can see Glastonbury Tor added to your to your whimsical town!
Sorry, I got in a muddle. It would be $26.50; to mail to UK. .
