Here is the inspiration quilt! Vintageblessings on ebay comes across some lovely and unique quilts that are for sale. By looking at the back you can see the double line quilting.
I thought it was unique enough to want to make a little one. I like to add a tiny twist to the quiltalongs.
Aren't these prints adorable?!
You can see the quilting in the original pretty good in this photo.
I opted to do a diagonal line in the same direction of the pink print.
Thank you all for sewing along! I've seen some fantastic versions and I love every single one!
If you have a blog, please link up to the blog post you have shared your quilt. I also believe you can link up from an Instagram photo. If you have no clue how to do any of it, send me a photo of the quilt and I'll add it!
The inspirational quilt, and your quilt, are both beautiful. Thank you for hosting this fun QAL. I just now joined the link party :)
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely! Thanks so much for doing this QAL. I'll be sharing my Finish soon!
ReplyDeletegreat inspiration quilt - I do see a copyright, so i hope you asked permission. I love that pink and white
ReplyDeleteAnother fun quilt-along! Thanks for hosting this annual event.
ReplyDeleteIt has been another great QAL, thanks for lead us in this challenge (to me) adventure! The original quilt is so cute, and your, too.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lori, for this fun QAL! I can see why you chose that vintage quilt :) Love your little quilt, too, and the diagonal quilting is perfect!
ReplyDeleteSo many delightful little doll quilts. I love the original too - so soft and pretty.
ReplyDeleteMe encanta el original. Espero tenerlo acabado a la semana que viene. Gracias Lori, por tu tiempo. Un beso
ReplyDeleteHi. Lori, I tagged you from Instagram with my picture. Not sure that I did this right. I don't have a blog and first time posting in Instagram. The pictures of everyone's quilts are wonderful! Thanks again. Lona
ReplyDeleteAhh... that original is just heart meltingly pretty! Great QAL inspiration for sure!
ReplyDeleteYou really succeeded in giving yours a vintage feel, Lori. Very sweet!
ReplyDeleteWonderful vintage quilt and how it inspired your QAL - thank you so much for organizing this - a fun time of stitching!
ReplyDeleteLovely as usual, Lori. Once I finish remaking my four patches (yes, can't find them, argh) I'll get my top done. Thanks so much for the QAL.
ReplyDeleteThank you for this fabulous QAL Lori ! And congratulations to all !
ReplyDeleteI must quilt it now and make a post after !!
Love the xmas mat -- I have an oval mirrored tray it may fit or would look good on a side table -- I'm going to try the QAL pattern -- I love the older simple patterns.
ReplyDeleteWow--very fun to see all the different versions of Palmateer Point! Thanks so much for the QAL!
ReplyDeleteIt is always interesting seeing the different color schemes people use in your sew-alongs. An interesting vintage design. I did not have time for the sew-along this time but see that many others did.
ReplyDeleteIt's fun to see the various color schemes and individual personalities each piece has.
ReplyDeleteI think you can consider this another success Lori. Great job in presenting this to us.
Although I didn't join in, I've been following all the various settings and choices and it is just so amazing how different and lovely they all turn out to be. Great fun...hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteSo now you have given me another way to use the "leader/ender" 16 patches I make while sewing. Since your "whole quilt" is 21" square, I am thinking that a setting of 3 X 4 of your "whole quilt" would give me a "usable" quilt of about 63 X 82. I love the pattern, and thank you so much for sharing. PS: I just spent the last 2 days in a workshop with Sujata Shah :-) :-)
ReplyDeleteI think it would make the most wonderful larger quilt!
DeleteCongratulations Lori! You have found another fun quilt to reproduce. I am so sorry I was, once again, unable to participate. It is now on my to-do list though. :^D Love to see all the finished little quilts in different colors. All so beautiful. Congrats to everyone. ;^)
ReplyDeleteThank you Lori for the fun project! The colors were kind of hard for me believe it or Not! It was a good mini challenge!
ReplyDeleteI love how they are all unique. But I have to say the more simple color schemes are my favs.
ReplyDeletePreciosos quilt!!!!! Me gusta mucho el diseƱo y los colores. Felicidades. Un beso.
