Land of the Free

I got a few more blocks made last weekend. I'm pretty happy with the way they are turning out.

I'm setting them aside for awhile and working on a few different UFO's.

I decided I really wanted to add more quilting to the cheddar squares to make it more like the original. Can you see the difference? I really am done with it now!! LOL

  9. I do like the extra quilting a lot. Gives it more of a washed look and will really crinkle when washed. And your blocks look wonderful!!

  12. Your Land of the Free is really coming together nicely! I sat at the sewing machine for about an hour today. Maybe I can get back to the one I am working on.

    The addition of more quilting is certainly making a difference.

  20. I love the crinkly look of your CC&C quilt. Did you quilt through the shirting fabric squares or just through the other colors? I have a question...how do you mark your straight line quilting? Normally, I use tape, but it seems to get in the way sometimes.
