I think my iron was a little hot!!! I was making this block on my way to making
these blocks. Before i left for my week long Sunriver stay I got this box of wool applique to do for a quilt shop. I did get the blocks mailed off yesterday. It's a good thing she sends a little extra.
Here was a project that the quilt shop owner started but ran out of time so sent it off to me. I like it a lot. Generally she would like all of her projects done by machine but because she already had it glue basted I opted to finish it by hand.
Look at this fantastic linen purse I won from Brandie! She has an Etsy shop with other adorable bags and crafts too. You should check it out.
My son drew a name from the bowl and the winner of Jean Wells Intuitive Color & Design book is KatyQuilts!! Congratulations!
Please send me your mailing address and I'll get it out right away.
Have a terrific weekend!
I love all the teapots! Too bad about the scorch mark, but at least it was just on a single block and not after the quilt was put together!
ReplyDeleteThe teapots are too cute! I love the flower applique block too. I thought from your title that "scorcher" referred to the weather! That is what it is supposed to be here today. Ugh!
ReplyDeleteAre the teapot blocks from a block of the month or a pattern? I love them. To bad about the scorch mark. :(
ReplyDeleteThe teapot quilt is so cute. Love them all.
ReplyDeleteHappy you had extra fabric to replace the scorched mark
The teapots look great! Glad you had extra to fix up the scorched block.
ReplyDeleteThose teapots are absolutely adorable! Is it a BOM or a pattern?
ReplyDeleteSorry about your scorched block. The teapot blocks are so gorgeous! Is is a new pattern? That is going to be a fabulous quilt.

Don't you just hate it when you do something like that? The finished blocks look really nice. You always do such nice work! It's certainly good when we have extra fabric to work with.
ReplyDeleteThat is the cutest wool quilt I've ever seen. Sorry it happened, you'll only do it once. Take care
ReplyDeleteThose wool blocks are amazing! So much detail - you have been busy. Yikes that's quite the scorch mark!
ReplyDeleteYikes, that is worse than a bad hair day! Glad there was a bit "extra" to save the day! Lovely blog!
ReplyDeleteoh my...I cringed at the site of that scorch! Been there myself several times- but all is well that ends well, no?
ReplyDeleteI just love the teapots!! Tell me more, please.
Karen
Ouch - poor December! That is one hot iron! Oh that wool basket you finished for the shop owner is adorable!
ReplyDeleteThe teapot blocks are so prim cute! The scorch mark may just add charm to the quilt. Maybe you can spray some of the Distress It spray on in other places and it will not just be a one place mark. And I really like the pot of flowers you were finishing up.
ReplyDeleteSuch cute teapots! (I've done the scorch thing a few times over thye years).
ReplyDeleteGreat work on the other project.
Congrats on the book win.
