This little bag is supposed to hold a book and has little pockets under the bird house. It's also a bit of a grab bag since I have put things inside.....Surprise!!
The Grab Bag book holder was won by Cornfield Quilter.
I was kidding myself when I thought I'd make Birds of a Feather. I believe all the patterns are here although I am not taking the time to check.
Birds of a Feather was won by Sharon Mallow Woerz.
The same friend who gave me the red and white bear paw quilt surprised me by including these in the box. I know I will never do anything with them. Maybe you will? I think there is 15 of them.
Dresden blocks were won by Jay in NE.
A bag of Robin Pandolph scraps. Most of these are older, the soft washed out looking ones. Big pieces and little pieces.. And look..a checkerboard already pieced!!
Robin Pandolph scraps were won by Nancy near Philly.
Please email me with your addresses and I'll get these mailed right away. Thank you all for helping me clean...now I've got some new blogs to read!!
PS Thank you for pointing out the errors in RRCR. I've already sewn the rows together, so I will not be taking anything out, but I will be more careful as I get the rest of the quilt together.
Leave me a comment and let me know what you'd like to have. You can tell me you'd like all of them, or just one of them, or two.....I'm usually up about 5 AM pacific time and I will post in the morning who gets what. This is a quickie. I want this pile out of my neat sewing room.
This is not in the giveaway!! 1/3 of the mystery quilt from Bonnie at Quiltville. They are not sewn together yet so they look a little wonky. I'm going to have to work hard to get the top together and be ready for borders on Friday.
Later this week I'll be posting a photo and fabric requirement for the doll quiltalong. It's called Midnight Stars.
I'd love to give your dresdens a new home. thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteLove your Roll Cotton Boll! I'd give the Birds of a Feather a try~ I'm starting to get into applique in a big way! :-) Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteWow!
ReplyDeleteYou have some fun stuff to give away! I would have requested those dresden plates. I am sure they are going to a good home!
This is the second post I saw on Bonnie's mystery quilt. I will be watching the progress. Looks like a lot of fun!
Happy Sewing!
Hi Lori I would just so love the birds of a feather :-)
ReplyDeleteCheers
Lynne
I would be happy with anything, lol.
ReplyDeleteI love fabrics and can always use more to add to my stash. Love your bag too, beautiful work on it. Think that would be nice for someone who doesn't sew, so they can have something special, that they can't make.
Love patterns that I can use in different ways, so birds of a feather is a nice one. I am easy to please;)
Debbie
GRAB BAG!! I want the GRAB BAG!!! Like I need more stuff...LOL!
ReplyDeleteThe mystery looks SO GREAT Lori! It's fun to see it in YOUR scraps!
Bonnie
Those Dresdens are so bright and beautiful! I'd love a chance at them!
ReplyDeleteI would love the book bag and the Paldolf scraps :o)
ReplyDeleteI love your color choise on the mystery quilt, fantastic.
ReplyDeleteA very happy new year to you and your family.
I'd choose the Robin Pandolph scraps. They are colors I wouldn't normally buy and it would be a way to try them! I've done the same thing and I'm going to have a give away in the next few days.
ReplyDeleteYou're RRCB looks fabulous. I would be happy with anything. Thanks for the opportunity.
ReplyDeleteYour mystery quilt looks great, I enjoyed watching the mystery unfold on Bonnie's blog. I would love to help you with your housework and take the Robyn Pandolph scraps off your hands. The little book bag has appeal too. Happy and creative New Year to you!
ReplyDeleteI could make good use of the Pandolph scraps.
ReplyDeleteI'd love the scraps... you know me, never saw a scrap I didn't love. I'm just floored by your Bonnie Mystery. I was chicken to join in although I've saved all the instructions. All those HST scared me off. Looking forward to the new quilt along. Sadly, I'll be gone for awhile so can't do it right away. But I'll be watching.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win any of the last three items. AND...I LOVE that Quilt you're working on!! I was tempted to begin it...but the holidays didn't allow me to participate! ;/
ReplyDeleteOh boy does you cotton boll look wonderful!!! I'm chiming in on behalf of Karen at Log Cabin Quilter for the hopeful win of Birds of a Feather. She had surgery today (bet you knew that)
ReplyDeleteI would like a chance for the Birds of a Feathers patterns! Thank you, Lori, for your giveaway!! I have nine blocks done for the Quiltville mystery...I love those blocks!
ReplyDeleteThis is the time to move stuff along, isn't it! I need to take stock and do the same thing! -- so don't include me in the give-away! LOL I have too much already!! :-) I popped over to Get To Goal, another way you'll be encouraging me this year, as I just joined WW-Online. I'm grateful for all the ways you inspire me, Lori!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Mary Lou
I'd love to win the birdhouse grab bag.
ReplyDeleteoh love your quilt so far! looking good.
ReplyDeleteI will pass on this giveaway its going to be fun to see who wins!!!!
Kathie
Lori, I would so love birds of a feather. If I am not lucky enough to get them, I always try to use vintage blocks in things that I make. Thank you for the chance
ReplyDeleteLove your mystery quilt. Before you sew your rows together check the second block down on the left, the half square triangles on one side are on backwards. Ask me how many I had to take off and flip???
ReplyDeleteIt looks beautiful!!
LOVE the grab bag!!
ReplyDeleteYour Mystery is gorgeous and the furthest along than any I've seen so far. You are doing an awesome job keeping up! Love the scraps you chose to use!!
Cleaning out your sewing room - sounds like a great idea - I know I should probably do something similar... :0)
ReplyDeleteI love your progress on the mytery quilt - what a great pattern - I was surprised to see how it developed. You've got a lot accomplished.

ReplyDeleteI tell you what, the Roll Cotton Boll quilt will be the death of me yet! It is taking me forever it seems to catch up, thank heaven I don't have a job right now, love how yours is turning out! LOL I would love to take option #1 off your hands. Love it!

ReplyDeleteYour RRCB is looking fabulous! I got stalled on it when I had to crank out a couple of quilts for Christmas.....I'm hoping to get back with it this week! You've inspired me....thanks!
Your little bag is calling my name. I love the mystery quilt. I'd only seen the strip blocks so far and was wondering where it was going. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteDresdens Dresdens Dresdens....I love them so much. They would be perfect for me.
ReplyDeleteI like how your mystery blocks are shaping up! This is my first mystery and I'm really enjoying it. I'm one of the (idiots) making two :)
ReplyDeleteI would dearly love to trade you something for the birds patterns. I've had birds on the brain for two or three months and have been combing patterns for something that really features appliquéd birds, and not just one or two.
All the best and happy new year, Sharyn
Hi Lori, I promise to give any of the lot a great home. Thanks for offering to share these treasures with your readers. ~~Lisa
ReplyDeleteI would love to give your orphan dresdens a home. I love making something new out of something old! Happiest of New Years to you!
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are fantastic. Wasn't this fun, I've posted mine as well.
ReplyDeleteOnly mentioning this because if you care it's easier to fix now than when the top is together, but two of the blocks for RRCB have a set of triangles going the wrong way. The block in the upper left and the one right under it.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking of making my version an official UFO, but I'm reconsidering after seeing yours.
Don't enter me in any drawings. I have a sewing room of my own that needs cleaning!
I'd he love to give the grab bag or the pandolph scraps a home in Ireland...my parents live in Bend, so no shipping costs!
ReplyDeleteLove how your RRCB is turning out.
ReplyDeleteThe Robyn Pandolph scraps would be ny first choice since they would work well with the other pieces of her prints that I have left from a quilt I made as a gift. The Birds of a Feather would be my second choice since I love everything by Blackbird Designs.
LOL...well I hauled stuff away from my room last week so I'm not really interested in your stuff, but I love, love, love your mystery blocks. Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteI think the dresden plates would be special, as well as the Robin Pandolf fabric. Fun, Fun fun! I already made the Birds of A Feather Quilt.
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love the Dresden's. I can see them set together and my needle quilting them. Thanks for the chance! gap_number_02@live.com
ReplyDeleteI would love to own your Birds of a Feather patterns. They are great. Thanks for offering them up to someone.
ReplyDeleteNice of you to be offering such pretty 'castaways'. I've been cleaning and trying to make more room in my little sewingroom also, but think I would have room in a bin for the scraps...yummy colors.

ReplyDeleteYour blocks are simply gorgeous. All the preparation is going to result in a wonderful quilt.
ReplyDeleteYour giveaways are popular items! (I'm skipping it--too much in my house as it is.)
I would be most interested in the bag of Robin Pandolph scraps. I have some of her older fabrics, and I love them. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeletejust got home from work and saw the posting. If I could choose, the Robin Pandolph scraps would be great. I took a class several years ago with Robin & have loved her fabric lines ever since. I am making some scrap quilts for a project and these would be perfect.
ReplyDeleteLove the Birds quilt pattern too. I have never seen that one before.
I am sure we all could follow your lead and clean out some, good for you.
Oh your roll, roll mystery quilt looks wonderful! I love it!
ReplyDeleteI would like to be entered in the drawing for the Robyn Pandolph scraps. Thanks for the chance!

I would like the book bag with the 'surprise'. Thanks for the great giveaways.
ReplyDeleteLove the roll roll Cotton boll quilt getting together, I have a lot to catching up to do, but it will have to wait until I finished sewing down a binding of a quilt I want to give to someone very special, very ill...
ReplyDeleteAs for the stash, lovely projects, but thanks, I have enough of my own to finish! Though I can't think of parting with them, I think you are very brave!
Love your Bonnie's Mystery !
ReplyDeleteAnd my choice will be the RP. scrap bag. Happy New Year.
Lori - I would be delighted to give your Birds of a Feather patterns a home .. a quilt I've always wanted to make. The dresdens are gorgeous too ... boy do they POP! Love your blog, happy 2011!

ReplyDeleteBeing a huge RP fan, I would love the scraps. Thanks for being willing to part with them. And your Roll Cotton Boll is looking great. I've printed out all the directions so far LOL, but nothing to show yet. Sigh....
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to what your next doll quilt-along will be!
ReplyDeleteI like the "misplaced" red triangles in your RRCR quilt, makes it yours.
