Yes Sir, Yes Sir, Three Bags Full

It seems everyone is working on Christmas things already so I thought I'd jump on the wagon.

Twelve Days of Christmas by Cheri. This one just needs to be basted and quilted. I think it looks a little heavy on one side. I'm hoping to quilt a few things on the "empty "side and fill 'er up.
Blocks 11 & 12 of Bible quilt by Jan Patek.
Henny Penny by Bonnie in American Patchwork & Quilting magazine, latest issue. I saw this on
Sue's blog and knew I'd have to do it!
Wool Crazy by JoAnn Mullaly. I hope to get this second square done this fall/winter.

We went camping this weekend to Mt Hood. It is hard for us to get away and the only time you can count on a camping site is after school is back in session. It was cold but such a pretty day on Saturday.
Our kids came up and we celebrated my son's 25th birthday. I'd like to know how my baby got to be 25!? LOL

Have a terrific day!

  1. Oh my, look at all that applique. It is a foreign language to me, but it is all very fun looking! So many projects, though, that I would get confused.
Lovely nature shot from your camping trip! I understand about the campsites. September is good around here once all the kids are in school--October is too cold.
How did we get this old (though you don't look it)? My baby turns 24 this month.

  8. Your 12 Days is wonderful, Lori! I am still plugging away on mine. Since I am doing it with cottons, it will take a bit. But not too much more applique left to do....then the embroidery.

Henny Penny is right up my alley. I always liked the children's story.

  9. You are an applique queen! Wonderful...and envy here! My oldest turned 22 in Sept and my baby turns 18 in two weeks!! I have less than a year before I'm an empty nester when he takes off for college....I already tear up just thinking about it. Of course on the days he wants to get "lippy" are different! LOL

  23. You have some wonderful projects underway. I'll echo some of the other comments--when do you sleep? and when you do, you must have a flying needle and thread wandering through your dreams, stitching everything in sight.
My babies are in their early to mid 30s, and I'm positive they were babes in my arms not that long ago. How I miss the children that they used to be.
