My Jubilee Quilt Project- Photo heavy!

Consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you; Leviticus 25:10a

This is what I have so far. A few pieces are appliqued together but nothing appliqued down yet. (I will be adding the the green spikes on the bottom right cactus flower.
Here's my high tech way of making the pattern!!
For the center I used a circular block for a paper piece pattern from Electric Quilt.

Hand made paper pieced pattern.
Doing them hand marked really give it the folk art appeal, that's for sure!
Building.....

More building......

Whew! I hope I can get it all appliqued down!!

Original block at the Folk Art Museum in NYC.

  32. I had a picture of that quilt saved at one time thinking I would like to make one. I will surely enjoy seeing yours come together. I like that you made the hand drawn part. I was trying to figure out at one time how to draw the design and didn't get far. How creative to just start marking lines and sewing and getting the folk art look.
