When Gay at Sentimental Stitches made copies of her antique quilt she also copied quilting motifs and added them to the patterns. I've made cardboard templates for one of the blocks and hand quilting has started!!
2 flowers done!
I know I have Danish readers. Here is my sons host brother Jon on duty protecting the Queen of Denmark!!
You sure whipped that Cowboy quilt up quickly, Lori!
ReplyDeleteYour quilting looks wonderful. Very nice little stitches.
Did I miss something--you have a son in Denmark?
I got my magazine today, yours is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI see how you hooped your quilt to quilt it, is it basted first or spray basted? I have one ready to quilt, but it is large and I hate the idea of pinning, so need to get it ready to quilt.

ReplyDeleteI got my Primitive Quilts magazine today and loved the cheddar cheese and crackers quilt. I always like to try and guess the designer before I look to see if I guessed right. I was so surprised to see it was you! How wonderful! I thought "I know who she is". I can't wait to make it. There are so many wonderful quilts in this issue. It makes my mouth water!!
The cowboy quilt is coming along so fast. Your machine must be smoking.

I used to have some of that barb wire looking fabric. Your choice of pattern works well to feature those different cowboy prints and pull them all together.
ReplyDeleteYippie! That quilt look fantastic. Great pattern to show off the prints. Perfect, Lori. Really well done. I am, of course, amazed with the work you're doing on the repro quilt and even more so because it looks like you're having a lot of fun with it. Makes me smile.

ReplyDeleteWonderful job on both. With all the gadgets and gizmos out there, we have to remember that cardboard still works! And hopefully there will always be cereal boxes in our house to get the cardboard from!
