A Charming Little Quilt
This is a little quilt made from Tara Lynn Darr Simply Charming book. I love the super scrappy braided quilt!
Kathy at Kindred Quilts and Darlene at Quilting Daze have encouraged other quilters to make one Simply Charming quilt every other month and by the end of the year you'll have 6 to keep or give! I'm not sure if I'll keep up, but I will at least have one.
If you haven't signed up for my 4 year blogging anniversary then please check it out here and leave a comment.
I'm leaving town with my hubby and gnome Sven so if I don't get a chance to draw winners on Monday then I'll do it first thing on Tuesday.
Have a great weekend!!

ReplyDeleteI love your quilt. I'm having fun with this Simply Charming SAL too. Have a great time with Hubby. Hugs
ReplyDeleteHave fun whereever you are going
ReplyDeleteSweet little scrap braid quilt. Maybe this pattern will be my next challenge quilt.
ReplyDeleteThis is so sweet! Definitely on my list to do...as is every quilt in the book! You did a terrific job...love the assortment of fabrics. I'm working on Tabitha's Trinkets as we speak. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteAh, the braid--always been a favorite of mine, but I've never made one, since an early attempt started going wonky (you would say humble) and I gave up. This is so cute. Maybe it will go on the list of the six I will make (attempt) for the SAL.
ReplyDeleteHow does DH feel about another man always coming along with the two of you? Any problems there? : )
What a sweet little quilt! There's some great fabrics to enjoy in it. Have a great time away!
ReplyDeleteCute braid quilt. I hope, the hubby, and Sven have fun.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful, one of my future mini quilt !
ReplyDeleteHave a fun weekend.
ReplyDeleteThe green border just sets off the woven braid. Sweet quilt.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute braided mini quilt! It makes deciding which quilt in Tara's book to make next even harder, but after seeing yours, this will go on my list! Have a fun getaway weekend!
ReplyDeleteSuper scrappy braid, indeed! Love it, and especially that poison green framing. Yummy! Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteJust broke down and bought this book. There are quite a few different designs to work on--and when you see them made up in fabric----well---you know how that goes. I like your border print!!
ReplyDeleteLori it's wonderful!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Lori. I love the braid and the colours are great. The poison green sets everything off perfectly.
ReplyDeletelove the green borders, funny how green just seems to work on so many quilts isn't it?
ReplyDeleteanother great little quilt.

Kathie
what a cute scrap quilt - that green is fabulous!!
ReplyDeleteThe green really sets off the quilt....love it.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty grouping of fabrics you used for this little quilt. Six finished in one year looks like a doable goal. I'll enjoy watching your progress.
ReplyDelete(Looks like my comment is following an anonymous spam creator, not a quilter. Shame on those folks--wasting your time.)
that's a wonderful little quilt~! love the braid and have been wanting to give it a try myself. the green was indeed the perfect choice for the borders. how big is this quilt? or should i say how small is this quilt?
ReplyDeletethe challenge tempts me because i do need to do a few small quilts this year for various donations to community fundraisers . . . i'd be getting a late start though and i would have to purchase the book . . . maybe . . . the truth is i would probably be better off just putting quilts together from my studio stash but it wouldn't be nearly as much fun.
i hope that you are enjoying your trip out of town.
:-)
