I did 4 blocks this month and decided to go in the order the original quilt is. Three I did this month are with the pink sashing on the right. The blocks are set in an unusual way which I like a lot. You can see the original here. I've ironed on scraps of freezer paper with the block numbers written on it. It makes it convenient for me, just not for a good photograph!!
Thanks for your input on Google reader. I've added a few options and I hope that helps.
Have a terrific weekend! I'm going on a road trip with my son to celebrate our Scandinavian heritage. Should be fun.
Love the Sally Post blocks! Have fun on your road trip!
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of you doing them in the order of the setting. I am still going in order of the pattern numbers. Just figure I can keep track of what I have done easier that way.
ReplyDeleteYou are amazing getting so much sewing done. Have fun on your road trip. Celebrate my heritage too. See you soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link to the original quilt. I have seen the blocks being created on various blogs, but had never seen the inspiration behind them. It is a beautiful vintage quilt! I can understand its recreation.
ReplyDeleteYour blocks look really good--and your freezer paper must stick much better than mine does! : )
