Christmas Blocks- Caught Up!

This is one of my two monthly projects. I fell behind and didn't get any of these made in April, but I am done....for a few days! This is not an easy block to make, but I'm hoping I'll think it was worth it when it's done.
No, they are not all the same...... It just happens....
Like the Sally Post blocks I like to try and get the rows together while I'm making it so it isn't as much work at the end.

I've noticed I was at 999 followers (not including bloglovin'). I'm purging my sewing room and have a few quilt market giveaways, which are super random objects. So, be looking for a giveaway next week!!

  8. These are beautiful!
One of my favorite color combinations.
How smart of you to sew them in rows as you go along. GREAT idea!

  10. I really think the quilt is more visually interesting with the way the color combinations "just happen". There is more movement and depth--and it looks more like a humble quilt, too. Isn't that what we want in the end? : )

  14. I'm loving these blocks - they look great, and also love the idea of putting the rows together as you go. It seems that I like to make blocks, but have loads of blocks that never get made into anything!

  15. It is looking so great already. The red and green are of course classic, but I like how you are varied the placement of color in the blocks. Another awesome quilt. Will you hand quilt it?

  18. I love the 'happening'....when the colors are switched around. I think it adds a lot and keeps the quilt interesting. I, too, stitch my rows as my quilt grows. It makes me feel like I've reached flimsy status so much quicker. (my mind is soooo easy to trick!)

  20. I love your red and green project and especially how the colours are mixed. I'll remember that tip about joining as the rows are made, that's the tedious part for me.

  21. Your red and green will definitely be worth it when you are finished. And, you have a pretty good idea of how much so looking at what you've put together already. I love the quilt. And, you have some good open space for spiffy quilting.

  27. Your idea to sew the rows together as you make the blocks is so smart. I'm going to try that tactic on my next project.
