Remember I am machine appliqueing so that is how I can get it finished quickly.
My first 2 blocks. If you have no idea where these blocks came from you can check it out atJUST TAKES 2.
I have been working more lately but looking forward to more sewing time!
Lori, I really, really like your blocks. Your fabric choices with the blue and red combo so good. That particular shade of blue is what is doing it. Rich looking.
ReplyDeleteMay I ask what threads you use both top and bobbin for your machine applique? I am new to it and want to see what works best for others. Love your color choices!
ReplyDeleteLove your fabric! Will be a pretty quilt.... I bet your working on taxes - (:
ReplyDeleteI do like the red and blue, Lori. I've never done machine applique, so even that sounds complex to me. : )
ReplyDeleteWonderful blocks!! I'm prepping mine now!! I've decided to join in on the Ben Biggs quilt this year! It'll be fun to share in that journey!

Love the fact that you're machine appliquéing the blocks. I'm collecting the pattern, but that's as far as I can go right now. You're color choices are going to add your own twist to the design.
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful blocks, love the fabrics you are using.

Wow - another beautiful blue and red! I just love the colours/fabrics you are using - it will be wonderful. And I admire your machine applique - looks very fine to me! My two blocks don't look like they quite match either but that is just the character of the quilt - blocks originally made by different people - but as a whole it is great.
