The assembly directions were minimal but I figured it out, section by section,

I took this last night after the sun was set so it is fairly dark. The border on the right and top is a dark brick red and the left and most of the bottom is a dark blue. I used the same colors as the half square triangles and am pleased with how it pulls it together.
I had my hubby hold this up this morning. It isn't that much better of a photo.
Have a fantastic weekend!
That is a beautiful quilt and beautiful appliqué. It is really hard to get a photo with a regular camera, I am still playing with lighting, but need a white room, I think.

Lori, this looks beautiful! How much snow do you have? I'm in Zigzag next to Mt. Hood...and finally the lifts are getting snow! yay!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty, Lori! You always have such wonderful projects!
ReplyDeleteSometimes the light just won't play nicely, but you can still tell this looks great!
I was assembling Midwinter blues last night and stalled because I was just shy of having enough of the "perfect" fabric for the sashing. Decision time--search or settle? : )
IT IS GORGEOUS....I am slacking...I need to get to it...hoping to finish another block today and get one of the last two prepped...(remember - I am re-doing one)...actually...I have three left to do...one I am changing the back ground and do not have anything that fits....I think...I might...but have to see. Then I need to do the basket block and then all of the triangle thingys. I love the colors...it really pulled together nicely.
ReplyDeleteLooks great!

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely darling folk art style quilt!
ReplyDeleteYou have been busy with all that Applique! I see you have snow where you live too. I couldn't resist taking my Bonnie Hunter Mystery quilt outside for a picture this AM. The snow is so pretty to look at but I don't want to go out driving in it. I'm happy to be snowbound in my Quilting Zone with my "Betsy".
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous!! Perfect fabrics! I love the HST setting...well done!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this prim quilt! Tell me about wool applique and finishing...is it given batting and quilted like a cotton quilt? Is it washable, do you wash it [someday?].
