They are calling it a Double x variation.
Here is my version. My blocks finish at 5 1/2".
I copied the quilting too, cross hatching the setting squares, triangles and border and did straight lines through the blocks. The little quilt measures 34" square and I couldn't be more thrilled with my reproduction!Happy Wednesday!
its just beautiful Lori I might just have to reproduce this one too!!! thanks for the inspiration
ReplyDeletewow that is a little block when you think of all those pieces but its so worth it.
love how you are brave to use solid fabrics, I love them but just have not been able to move to solids more then I have so far, I think I need to work on that
again thanks always inspiring.
Kathie
You should be thrilled! That is wonderful, and I love the quilting as well. Now I'm in the mood to make a red and white quilt....sounds more fun than the chores I had planned for today. LOL
ReplyDeleteA delightful little quilt! Yeah red and white!
ReplyDeleteYour little quilt is so cute! You did a great job...what an inspiration you are!
ReplyDeleteVery special!
ReplyDeleteLove it! You did a very nice job at reproducing the original.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking the same thinking Kathie was. It would be perfect in a red and white collection.
ReplyDeleteThis block is unfamiliar to me. Looks fabulous.
ReplyDeleteWhat, no quilt-along on this one? *LOL*
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful, Lori. You find the best quilts to reproduce--and this one happened so quietly. I am wondering now how it would look in blue and white. Hmmm. : )
You completed a beautiful reproduction. It must be very tedious to use such small pieces. Great job.
ReplyDeleteIt's just beautiful Lori! Congratulations on another lovely finish.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on a lovely finish. It didn't take you long to whip this one together. I believe this is your first post about this quit and it is already finish. It is adorable nevertheless. Thanks for sharing.

ReplyDeleteI love the fabric you used! Love red and white quilts. I enjoyed your pictures of the Columbia River, got a very good look at it a couple of weeks ago, I did see a lot of men in boats fishing, I bet that is fun catching something that big! Congratulations on your run!!
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous Lori! I love it - truly looks vintage :)
ReplyDeleteOh Lori, this is really something! Thanks for showing the fabrics close up too. That little background is perfect!
