Stars and Samplers

I haven't shown the last three weeks of Stars in  time Warp.

 Woven plaids
 Paisleys
Conversation prints. The red one is a bit like old meets new. I love the umbrellas! Look below on my instagram feed and you'll see where one of my stars went warped......Operator error!

Here are a few more blocks for the Ohio Sampler. There are so many that I haven't laid them out together. I hope they look good in one quilt!
 I appliqued this block.
The book called for using templates. Instead I used 2 1/2" squares and 1 1/2" connectors. So much easier.
Check out  KAREN'S, LUANN'SCATHY'S, and NANCY's blogs to see how they are coming on their Ohio Sampler.

This weeks instagram feed.

As several of you are preparing to send your doll quilt swap, please remember to enclose a note with your email address and blog if you have one. When you receive a quilt, please be considerate and thank the maker!

I'm sewing the binding down tonight!

Have a fantastic weekend!!

  1. Did you applique or piece the Turkey Tracks block? I did applique because I was afraid I would not get the curved piecing done well. Every block done is a block closer to the end.

  2. Love the Stars in a Time Warp blocks that you did, and it is soooo easy to have pilot error when sewing them! Your conversational even includes an internal seam pieced in the red corner, just like an 1800's quilter would have done, good work!

  7. Great stars--I especially love the blue plaid!
Your Ohio Sampler blocks are looking good. So you haven't laid them out together yet, huh? You like living dangerously, but why wouldn't they look good together? You haven't slipped in any bright batiks that I am aware of. : )
Oh, that was creative piecing on that red star. *LOL*
