It's Fri-Day!

Now it is fully complete! I opted for a muslin binding



I used a few different background pieces as I think it ages the quilt nicely. I still can't get enough of Sharon's beautiful quilting.


 Mostly I'm plugging away for an hour or so in the evening handquilting. 
 I haven't had time this week to do any more than sew on the binding. Looking forward to the weekend!!

  1. Sharon's quilting is perfect for your beautiful Delectable Mountains quilt. It's gorgeous! I love, love, love your applique quilt,too. The hand quilting is beautiful. Both quilts have a delightful Vintage look.

  11. Yep, Sharon's quilting is just as spectacular as the quilt itself. I love that you used different shades of muslin for the background - it DEFINITELY ages the entire quilt!

  13. A classic, timeless quilt, Lori! Your placement of slightly different background fabric here and there is an excellent touch!
    Sharon is so good at those feathers--they seem to flow effortlessly through the quilt.
    I admire your hand quilting. Heirloom in the works!

  15. The finished quilt is beautiful. Hard to give it up! I love the photo on IG of Porter lolling on the red white quilt on the bed! So far that s mo's last frontier. He s not allowed on my bed

  16. I like that you chose to do the muslin binding, I think most would have gone with the blue but your choice was perfect.

  20. Congrats! The muslin binding looks so wonderful!! I don't know that I've actually bound anything with muslin though! Glad you're getting in some good hand quilting time. Your stitches are beautiful. Have a good weekend!
